Thought about you the other day, things have been hard since you have been away. I know I still have some debt to pay, but if I saw you I dont know what I would say. We could sit and reminisce about mom and Ali, and all the good times we had in pleasant valley. We can talk about trips we took, so many places I could write a book. You were always living large, I looked up to the man in charge. You drove a porche and a dodge viper. I drive a focus with a messed up wiper. Always dressed up in fancy suits, I like tees, jeans, and combat boots. You never understood its not what you possess, the car you drive or the way you dress. Lifes about the love you give, and putting God first in this life we live. PHD to the highest degree, educated more than me. I know you didnt have time for me, but thats not the way its supposed to be. When you left I lost direction, sorry that I dont live to your perfection, I really could use some correction, havent heard from you since the last election. Im so glad I found God gave me a honey, shes worth more than all your money. While you were concerned with wealth and fashion, I learned to love and to show compassion. So glad I turned out like just like my mother, wish you showed love like your younger brother. Aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces, its not to late to pick up the pieces. Till then I will play the poet, in these verses my love ill show it. Im chasing something that I never had, in the mean time I just miss you dad.
