Yesterday was the beginning of the fall session of the Ontario Legislature. My first action in the new session was to present a petition from constituents concerned about the risk to our drinking water from the proposed landfill and asking that new and expanded landfills be prohibited on fractured bedrock. Please continue to send petitions through OPAL or directly to my office and I am happy to present them to continue raising our concerns in the Legislature. Yesterday I also filed a number of written questions in the Legislature which included questions on air quality monitoring in Beachville, policing costs and direction to the OPA regarding communities that have declared themselves unwilling hosts.
