Yesterday we put our names on the housing wait list. We are qualified for a 2br company grade officer house. Today we got a call to say there was a 4br house that will be ready in 30 days. We were excited!...then we saw pictures. At the risk of sounding like an a-hole, theres no way we would live there. To be honest, this house looks like it needs to be torn down. I am shocked that this is even on a military base. If anyone knows what Im talking about its the coral house that was built in the 60s. Apparently there is nothing else until June, which is strange to me because Ive been watching the wait list and theres only ever like 3 people on it. Ive read on here how people had little to no wait for their homes. The homes that are online are mansions compared to this one! Blah blah. I just wanted to get out my disappointment but can anyone offer any advice for us? The movers are here now and there looks like little to no off base homes that allow dogs (we have 2). Anything would help. Thank you
