Yesterday we went over some bible verses about trials during the Christians life. Reading and knowing Gods word is crucial so we can pass on to our children His truths, and live a life based in real truth (and not our own reality). Today, encouraging words about seeking out wisdom, and building others up instead of tearing down. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. - Eph 4:29 A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends. - Proverbs 16:28 There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. - Prov 6:16-19 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this persons religion is worthless. - James 1:26 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, - Matt 12:36 A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape. - Proverbs 19:5 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. - Eph 4:21 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. - Eph 4:15 When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. - Proverbs 10:19 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. - 2 Tim 2:15 Lord, help us to walk in a manner worthy of You and Your calling on our lives. Give us a hunger for Your word. Bring hearts to You even now. Use us Lord, give us a desire to be available to a hurting world. Cause us to chase after Your will for us. In Christ Jesus, amen.
