Yesterday we were contacted by a local shelter, asking for help, when a sick puppy arrived and tested positive for parvo, a deadly virus that needs immediate medical attention. We got her to a local veterinary hospital yesterday afternoon, where she is receiving supportive care, IV fluids, and antibiotics. She will remain hospitalized for the next several days, which maximizes her chances of surviving. If all goes as we hope, once she is well enough to leave the hospital she will join one of our wonderful foster families to continue to grow healthier and stronger, and when all is well she will start the search for her forever home.
