Yesterday while I was at the church I ran into the janitor as he was sweeping our fellowship hall. As I gazed down at all he had swept I said, all that from us? He laughed and said yes, you know we are dirty people. At first I laughed at the comment but then soon after that I thought, what great substance he spoke! Its a known fact that we are all dirty people. There are none of us who are sin free! And then I thought as I watched, as he so easily guided the dust mop over the shiny floor that our lives too can be cleaned with such ease. All God wants is to come into our heart,minds, and souls and sweep our sin away. Yet again...I say we are dirty people and the reason is quite simple! It is because we wont let the Lord our God sweep our own floors on a daily basis but rather only on days that we choose!! For some of us those days are few and far between. So Lord, I come to you today on a bended knee praying that you will continue to sweep my floors on a daily basis, and that all who know you and love you will do the same.. For those who may not know you and are uncertain may they too reach out to you today and proclaim that yes Lord, I need my floors swept, and may the joy that they shall receive open their hearts to a whole new world!! It is in your precious name that I pray these words....Amen
