~Yesterdays Death~ Yesterday I remember ajadi and friends, dancing amidst gazing skies, The flowers were impressive, having no cause to panic, I saw the night as a calm personality, Referencing the sleep of human, furnishing a tranquil habitat. Yesterday Mortals names were composed on serene scrolls, The gods gashed kolanut of fertility upon the silent shrines, Asabi and Alade were delightful couples, serenity was hung on the chords of their souls. I spoke to yesterday She said she was once a companion of nightfall, she said; Stars and the trembling winds were fire igniters on the wrinkled face of nature, But Yesterday died in my arms I was there when Today arrived, He poisoned yesterday, piercing her with a deadly sword, Giving her soul away to history, Now yesterday has become a mystery, Our land now dines with misery. The pretty flowers died with yesterday, Their radiance were abducted by the misfortune of Today. I see the sky shedding tears for Ajani and Ajadi, For they are lost, dancing to the beats of a pessimistic Today, Gliding on that path which shall lead to an uncertain future, Now! The gods are the shrines kolanut. Now the night is reborn a vampire, Consuming the bloods of the night-watch men, Who once dined with him at the funeral of dawn. Even the stars have misplaced their culture, The trembling wind has become a statue, After her spirit was lost to the backyard Where doubt takes refuge. Now nature is desolate, Shall we die with yesterday, Or shall we defy today? For if today becomes our ruler Our liberty shall forever be trapped in his cooler.
