Yesterdays mailshot messed up. We have two rides for Sunday 13 July – ** Hadano/Yabisu Pass (Warren) Intermediate Mountain ride. For those who need practice for Norikura, or those who just want to cycle a mountain for the first time (but have cycled >50km this year) this ride is ideal. It will be a morning ride of only 30km but 700m climbing (map) Meeting place and time: The exit gates of Hadano Station at 09:20 Suggested train: From the Shinjuku area, the Odakyu Odawara Line Express train leaves Shinjuku station at 0801. It will arrive at Hadano at 09:14. ** Kasai Rinkai Park & Back (Ira) Meet at 10:00 a.m. at our usual spot in front of the Grand Hyatt at Roppongi HIlls. Ride our regular route out towards Odaiba, via Tsukiji but then head towards Tokyo Heliport and cross the bridge over to Kasai Rinkai Park for a ride of 22 km and a quick break. Then we tour the park and on to the The Red River Road before we head back via the Tokyo Heliport, Wakasu Park, the Gomi bridge, and into Odaiba for our second break at about 55 km. Then we ride back to Roppongi. Total ride from 65 to 75 km. Easy to Medium pace, but distance makes this an intermediate ride.
