Yesterdays message from Bill Dienst, MD, in #Gaza. Via Greta Berlin: Our Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility Delegation successfully entered Gaza today through Erez and we will stay here for 8 days. There are 9 of us on this delegation: 2 Neurosurgeons, a trauma surgeon, a cardiologist, a pediatric nurse practitioner, a yoga instructor 2 mental health professionals and myself (emergency medicine). We will be teaching at Al Shifa medical center and Islamic U and Al Azhar U as well as spending a day with the Palestine Medical Relief Society Mobile Health Van. The amount of destruction compared to last time we were here is truly horrifying, and we have yet to have seen the worst of it East of Gaza City and points south. The tunnel economy is completely blocked and needed reconstruction relief is little more than empty promises from the world community we are told. More Later. Warm Regards, Bill
