Follow Josh: By Josh Wilding - 2/5/2014 Deadline reports that former Mad Men executive producers Andre and Maria Jacquemetton have teamed up with Gravity producer David Heyman for a new drama series based on the DC comic book DMZ at Syfy. According to the site, its set in the near future and centers on a young man trapped in Manhattan, which has been turned into a demilitarized zone (DMZ) after a second American civil war. The husband and wife duo have written the pilot. The Vertigo comic book series ran for a total of 72 issues between 2005 and 2012. It sounds like an intriguing premise, and with such a quality team behind it (David Heyman will produce), its definitely another reason to be excited about DCs television takeover!
