Yet another reason you should NOT support Lollipop Farm (pay attention U of R students!): It has become laughable the way this place spins stories for their own benefit. When a friend and local dog trainer found these two deceased dogs, she immediately contacted the proper authorities. Multiple people called AC at LPF; and they told everyone the same thing [The bodies have been there too long to investigate now - we first got calls about them back in October, but didnt find them when we checked it out. All we will do is bag them and leave them for the City to pick up]. Rajeena didnt give up. Pitty Love stepped up, and our VP and Rajeena went and named these dogs, took them to our vet, and treated them with the respect they clearly didnt receive in life. They managed to do this without throwing Lollypop under the bus. They simply stepped up to do something decent without pointing fingers at the failure of any other agency. In what has become a pattern - true LPF fashion - they only decided to do an investigation when the story blew up on social media and the local stations aired stories on the evening news. Now, suddenly, they have decided to investigate, but are saying these two considerate people made their job hard because they moved the bodies. The bodies they couldnt be bothered to look for more than once (and judging by the number of times they have claimed to investigate calls in the past when they never did, Im not convinced it even happened in October); the bodies they were going to bag and leave for the City to dispose of without doing any investigation. Im really over this place. So incredibly over this place. My greatest hope is that AC is given to the right organization - it clearly isnt in the right hands now and never has been.
