Yo! Albuquerque Trivia, anyone? One of the venues that professional wrestling events took place at in Albuquerque was the National Guard Armory which was sold by the state of NM in January of 1958 to the Mountain States Mutual Casualty Company. Within a year the remodeling had stripped it of its special architectural features and turned it into a standard looking office building. Three years before that, in 1955, it was one of two major venues in Albuquerque that pro wrestling events took place at. Both of these newspaper ads are from the same issue of the Albuquerque Journal in October of 1955. One is for the Armory and the other is for ??? Ive removed the name to see who can name the other big venue in town that hosted the wresting events. Theres an El Bubble Cigar especiál for anyone who can name it!
