Yo friends... here now is the 13th and the 14th chapter... Now that Epsilon and Andromeda were already at the Zero, what will happen? Thankz... :) ---------- CHAPTER XIII The Plans Of Epsilon After fixing and arranging everything in the base house, Andromeda went to the kitchen to prepare for dinner while Epsilon sat on a chair beside the kitchen table and seems to have a deep thought in mind. Andromeda: (while cooking) Ahmmm… Epsilon, my dear, could I ask something? Epsilon: What’s that Andromeda? Andromeda: The food supply that we have brought along is only enough for about a month. Do we need to go back to Archalyss or go to one of the living planets to get some food for our supply? Epsilon: No need. Andromeda: But Epsilon! Where will we get our food supply in this dry-barren dead planet? Are we going to eat metallic minerals through the time? Epsilon: No. Andromeda: (starting to worry) But what are you really planning my sweetheart? Epsilon: I don’t know if you would agree in my plans. But for sure, you would be shocked when you hear this… Andromeda: What’s that? Epsilon: I’ll turn ourselves into Cyborgs. Andromeda: (shocked) Whaaaaaaat?! Are you insane?! Epsilon: No. I’m serious. In that condition, we don’t need food to eat and additionally, I will find ways to develop the Zodite Humanoid Technology of my father in order for us to successfully save the Archalyss. Andromeda: I can’t believe I’m hearing this from you! But to turn someone into cyborgs, one must be dead first and… and… Epsilon: In my father’s blueprints, no. One could be turned into cyborgs by just making him or her fall into deep sleep and start the operation right away. But, with that process, only the brain will remain in the bionic body parts of the person. Andromeda: You see! You will leave only our brains and replace almost our whole body systems with metal pieces! Epsilon: Andromeda, you have nothing to worry about. We will still have the exact image of a human body from the outer look from head to toe. Andromeda: (teary) But what about our inner selves. Our personalities? Our emotions? Our love for each other? Does it mean that we will forget all of it? Or our love be replaced with artificial emotions? Epsilon: The emotions and personality of a person is largely stored with in the brain. In other words, we will not forget each other my sweetheart. Andromeda: (crying) But that’s not what I mean! You will replace our memories by artificial intellectual codes!!! Epsilon: Andromeda, you don’t get it. Our emotions and memories will still be there in our natural brain. So, our emotions will still be natural including our love for each other. That’s the technology my father has created. Andromeda: (walking away) I’m sorry Epsilon but, I just can’t bear what I’m hearing from you now! The girl headed straight quickly to her room. While Epsilon was left in the kitchen table, thinking of how he would make his sweetheart agree of his plans. The boy just then stood up and continued the dish that Andromeda was cooking. After a while, when the meal was ready, Epsilon went to the room of Andromeda, knocked on the door, and called out to the girl. Epsilon: Andromeda, c’mon… time to eat… The girl then went out of the room and headed directly to the dining table without any words. Epsilon just followed her with an eye and remained silent. While eating, Epsilon broke the silence and said… Epsilon: Did I really make you feel bad about it my dear? Andromeda: (a little bit grumpy) You don’t need to ask… Epsilon: Are you really objecting to it totally? Andromeda: I don’t know Epsilon… I don’t know… Andromeda then left the table and Epsilon just watched her from his sit as she went back to her room. Epsilon: (worried) Maybe I just need to give her a time to think about it. After a while, the alarm of the base suddenly sounded. Upon hearing this, Epsilon immediately went directly to the base center to see if what’s happening and while running to the base center, loud sounds of explosions were overheard within the underground base-house; explosion that seems to be coming from the surface of that land of Dr. Orion Daushre. Epsilon immediately turned on the monitoring system of the land and saw that it was under attack by Archalystian Military Knights stationed at the Planet Zero. Surprisingly, Epsilon saw the Space Rover AR8-2D, (a combat military space rover created by Dr. Briexfite); specially designed for space wars, this space rover is armed with a version of the Supreme Zole Warhead specially designed for air and space battles: the Supreme Zole Warhead SN3. Additionally, the AR8-2D has two MB7 Canon secured under its both wings, four regular laser beam blasters, and a powerful force shield like the one used by the Flagship Daushre and the Archalyss War-Aces. Together with the monster space rover were 6 regular space battle rovers assisting it on their attacks. The boy was troubled because the base doesn’t have anything that could be used to face the Ar8-2D. All he could do is to activate a force shield thrice the strength of the one used by the attacker. But, Epsilon knew that the shield couldn’t with hold a simultaneous attack of the MB7 Canon plus, the power of the Supreme Zole Warhead SN3. Another thing is, the boy noticed that the military knights only has the mission to destroy the base of Dr. Daushre and didn’t know that he and Andromeda were there and if he would activate the force shield carelessly, the intruders would discover that the land of Dr. Daushre is occupied by someone. After a while, the AR8-2D started to charge its Supreme Zole Canon SN3 for an attack. Upon seeing this and had no other choice, Epsilon went to the base-defense system control room to activate the force shield of the base. A few seconds after Epsilon had left the base center, Andromeda entered that same room and saw that Epsilon was not there. Andromeda then thought that Epsilon had gone out of the base to face the intruders in a battle. Without any hesitations, because of her worry for her sweetheart, Andromeda went directly to the hangar to see if there is a rover that she could use for the battle, (the hangar is the topmost part of the underground base and is very vulnerable of external destruction). When Andromeda opened up the door to the hangar, information from the sensory system was sent to the base defense system control room informing Epsilon that someone had opened the door of the hangar. Epsilon: (looking at the monitor screen) Oh no! What is she doing there?! Epsilon then quickly activated the force shield of the base without anymore noticing that the Supreme Zole Warhead SN3 of the intruder had gone enough and is ready to launch. He immediately ran to the hangar and while he is still on his way there, an enormous explosion was overheard all over the place; an explosion that cause a strong ground shake within the base pushing Epsilon to the ground. The boy then quickly stood up and ran with all of his speed to the hangar. When he had opened the door, he could barely look of what he had seen; a devastated place due to massive destruction that had took place. He then desperately looked for his beloved Andromeda within the place and found her unconsciously lying under huge rocks and metal debris smashing her down. The boy immediately went to Andromeda and find ways to take her out of those rocks and metal over her. When he had taken the girl, Epsilon quickly checked her pulse and breath and after a few moments of disbelieve, Epsilon dreadfully embraced Andromeda with all of his emotions together with his over flowing tears as he confirmed that his beloved sweetheart Andromeda was taken away from him. ---------- CHAPTER XIV The First Cyborg Epsilon then took the body of Andromeda into the base, laid her on her bed inside her room, and went back directly to the base defense system control room. After a moment, someone from the intruders connected to the base via call. Epsilon just let the person on the other line spoke and he just remained silent. Military Knight: We know that someone is inside the base. Answer who you are or we will launch another warhead after 3minutes. Understand? Epsilon didn’t bother to answer. Military Knight: Is that you who are in there Epsilon Daushre? How come have you reached here when you were found at the end of the Archalyss’ atmosphere for just about a few hours ago? Or is it another person in there? Answer us for you only have 2 more minutes left. Still Epsilon didn’t bother to answer. After a while, the AR8-2D started to charge the destructive warhead once again, preparing for another attack. Military Knight: You only have 30seconds to answer. The boy then slowly activates a laser beam canon secretly. He put his hands on the control of a MB3 Canon, (an earlier and weaker version of the MB7 Canon), aimed it to the AR8-2D, and prepared it for an attack. The enemies didn’t notice the MB3 Canon because of its hidden location plus its camouflage to the color of its surroundings. Finally, the AR8-2D launched out the warhead. Upon seeing this, Epsilon aimed the MB3 Canon to the warhead and immediately shot it up; causing it to explode right at the very point of the intruders, destroying them all at once. Epsilon knew that more military knights would come to see what had happened. So, he then started right away to prepare one of his father’s creations to be used according to his plans. He just didn’t expect that the Archalystian Military Knights would make a move that early making him unprepared for that offense of the intruders. Epsilon then went into his father’s giant laboratory and headed to its tremendous electromagnetic generators. Those generators were one of the main energy sources of the whole Planet Zero and have the capacity to supply enough amount of electrical energy for mining. But, those electromagnetic generators are built with limiters to control the flow of energy within the whole planet. Now Epsilon manipulated the limiters and made a route of energy covering the whole Planet Zero, increasing the voltage of the flow of electricity from 100,000megawatt to 2.7million megawatt: enough to ignite 86% of all the Zodite at the surface of the planet, except the dimensional perimeter of the underground base of Dr. Daushre. With this step, Epsilon could successfully push every other miners, military knights, scientists, and other people in the Planet Zero to leave away. After the preparation is complete, Epsilon activated the generators right away. After doing so, Epsilon went back to the room of Andromeda where the dead body of the girl was lying. He stared at the girl for several minutes and after noticing his tears running down his face, he went to the side of the girl, picked her up, and brought her to the laboratory, directly to the operating room. He then laid the girl on the bed of the room and prepared everything to start the operation. After preparing, he again stared at the girls beautiful face and uttered… Epsilon: (weeping) Andromeda, my dear, my sweetheart… I’m very sorry for what I am going to do to you. But I just can’t bear to lose you and live alone in grieve in this barren planet and had nothing in my heart but anger, rage, and the thirst for revenge. Though I don’t want to do things without your approval, I hope you will understand me for this time my love. Epsilon then passionately kissed the girl’s lips and started the operation right away. Meanwhile, out at the surface of the Planet Zero, because of the activation of the generators, the people started to panic. Minute by minute, the Zodites all over the face of the planet started to heat up turning the people’s mind puzzled of what is happening and leaving them no choice but to leave the Planet Zero. The scientists attempted to study the phenomenon but they couldn’t with hold the extreme heat of the surroundings because of the Zodites. So, off they went into the outer space and just study the Planet from a distance. And after several hours, they just saw the Planet Zero’s surface turned bright flaming red in color because of the overheating that occurred (the reddening of the Planet Zero’s surface is caused by inflammation of all other minerals and matters in the planet except the Zodite which still maintain its physical properties unless it would reached 84 to 87% of its melting point). About 7 to 8 hours have passed; finally Epsilon was through with the operation he had done to Andromeda. After 2 more hours, Andromeda woke up in her room seeing Epsilon sleeping at the sofa near her bed. The girl got up from lying, went off her bed, and went to Epsilon. Andromeda: (tapping Epsilon’s shoulders) Epsilon, Epsilon… my sweetheart please wake up. My Epsilon… Epsilon: (waking up and smiled brightly upon seeing the girl) Andromeda… you’ve already gotten up from sleep?! How do you feel? Are you alright? Are you feeling something is wrong with you? Andromeda: What do you mean? Epsilon: Aren’t you feeling anything strange? Andromeda: Ahmmm… it seems like I’m a little bit heavy huh… Epsilon: Heavy? Andromeda: Yes. I feel I could hardly move my body a little bit because of that slight heaviness that I feel. By the way my sweetheart, what had happened? The last thing I remember was that time when I’m in the hangar then after a massive explosion, large rocks and metal debris fall on to me and… Epsilon: (nervously lied) You fainted. Then I saw you at the hangar and I brought you in to check you up. Andromeda: Huh? Didn’t I have any wounds or even just small bruises? Epsilon: Ahmmm… don’t bother yourself about that anymore my precious girl. Everything is alright now. I have medicated you already. Andromeda: Huh? But… Before the girl could finish her sentence, Epsilon dearly embraced her and kissed her cheek as if there were no tomorrow coming ahead. Andromeda was bothered of Epsilon’s actions towards her. It seems like something had change without her knowing especially when she noticed the teary eyes of Epsilon but the boy seems to forcefully stop himself from crying. Epsilon then told Andromeda that he would first go to the generators to check the situation of the Planet Zero. After a while, Andromeda went to the kitchen to get some water when she accidently hit a glass on the table with her arm and broke it without making it fall or hit to another hard object. Andromeda was puzzled of what she had seen. There’s nothing else that hit the glass except her arm and she knew it was not enough to break it. He immediately took another glass and tried to crumple it and it again, broke down into pieces. Andromeda: What’s happening to me?! Suddenly, a thought came in to her mind and took a knife to confirm it. She holds the knife and slowly slices her index finger with it. She was shocked when she saw that nothing happened to her finger when she sliced it with a sharp knife but strangely, she heard a sound as if two pieces of metal was rubbed together as she does the slicing of her finger. Anxiously, the girl then tried to stab forcefully her shoulder with the knife when she concludes that she had observed as if two pieces of metals was strike together and saw the edge of the knife was bent a little bit. She then feels scared and upset of what she has just witnessed. After a while, she feels like she wants to cry but, no tears were coming out of her eyes, adding to her nervousness. With her anxiousness, she quickly ran to the direction of the generators to confront Epsilon about this when she saw the boy standing at one of the corners of the corridors, looking at a picture in his wallet, and said to himself… Epsilon: What if you would discover what I have done to you? Would you understand me? I just don’t want to lose you… Epsilon noticed something moving from a distance and saw Andromeda looking at him with troubled eyes. He then quickly wipe of his teary eyes, and walked to the girl as if nothing had happened. Epsilon: Is there a problem Andromeda? Andromeda: (in a seems to be crying tone of voice but no tears is coming out of her eyes) Epsilon… Epsilon, what have you done to me?! Epsilon: (nervous and shocked) Wha… What do you mean? Andromeda: Can you please stop being pretentious about everything? Upon saying this, Andromeda slapped Epsilon on his cheeks, making the boy to be thrown for a little bit and fall down at a corner. Andromeda was now upset for some more. Epsilon: (still on the floor, bowed down, and cried) You died! Andromeda: (speechless) Epsilon: You died due to those fallen rocks and metal debris. I’m sorry Andromeda… I’m sorry! I wasn’t able to save you, I wasn’t able to protect you… as I have promised. You trusted my promise that I would take care of you but… I’m a looser! Now because of my selfishness and because I don’t want to and I’m scared to be alone… I turned you into a cyborg! I’m sorry my sweetheart… I’m sorry my love… my Andromeda… ---------------------------------------- What will happen now? Will Andromeda forgive Epsilon? Find out in the next chapter of...
