Yoga for restful sleep: Having trouble falling asleep? Looking to slide away to dreamland more efficiently? Throw on your PJs and try legs up the wall pose to relax both the physical body and the mind. 1. Sit facing a wall (or headboard) with your glutes about 6 inches away from it. 2. Lie back and extend your legs up the wall. Generally, the closer your glutes are towards the wall the more stretch youll feel in the back of your legs. For tight hamstrings, scoot further away. 3. Let your arms rest by your sides, palm face up, allow your eyes to become heavy in their sockets and breathe deeply. Enjoy this gentle inversion for 2-5 minutes or however long feels most supportive. The best part? It can all be done in bed. Happy sleeping!
