You Have An Adversary II “The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things.” Lamentations 1:10 Jesus said in Mathew 10:16 that you better be wise as serpent and harmless as dove. In Proverbs 24:3, the Bible says “By wise counsel thou shall make thy war and in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” The fact that you attend church regularly, give your tithes and offerings does not exempt you from the battle that we are engaged in. Child of God, you are engaged in a real war. One of the tools the devil uses to fight the believer is ignorance. Beloved, we are in information age. All the information you require is just a click away. There is virtually no subject you cannot dig into through the Internet. There is nothing going on in any part of the world that you cannot be privy through on your phone. Why then do you want the enemy to just pluck out your eyes because you are playing dead? If you think that because you allowed the devil take your home he will not come after your health, you must be joking. The devil has an insatiable appetite for destruction. Jesus captured it well in John 10:10 when he said, “the thief comes not, but for to steal, kill and destroy”. Can you imagine the three point agenda of the devil? You now see why you cannot toy with him. The adversary is real, but the good news is that victory is assured if only you will demand it. Did you notice the last phrase “if only you will demand it”? That is the key issue. You must demand your right because it will not fall on you like a bag of cherries. You must tell the devil, enough is enough. Push back the table, leave food for the moment, go before God in prayer and fasting, seek His face and confront the devil eyeball to eyeball. Let the devil know that you have no plans to give up; if anyone must give up, it has to be the devil. Take the battle into his territory and take back everything he ever stole from you because it is your right. Today, I pray a new strength to come upon you – strength to fight and win. I declare over your life that you will win continually in the battles of life. For you to fail, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE because God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all on your side.
