You Jack Straw are the reason I formed AGPCUK after you decided ( just before the children broke up for their annual six week holiday ) to give £25 Fines to cyclists for riding on the pavement. It then stood for Action Group for the Protection of Cyclist. We published thousands of leaflets which cyclist could use to take the number of the policemans badge and forward a Claim for any accident thereafter from insisting they ride on unsafe roads. We later became Action Group for the Protection of Communities UK .Because of the huge demand for our services in Christchurch Dorset alone where it all began. We drove a successful petition to get a Pedestrian Crossing in Hurn Road, Christchurch after much Politically embarrassing Television and Media attention was gained.
