You Need This... “And God said, Let us make man in our image...” (Genesis 1: 26). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. Today’s Focal Scripture speaks of the man that was made in God’s image. One factor that contributes to a good image in photography, is battery life. When a camera has enough battery life, it captures a good image, and vice versa. When the power supply of a camera is intact, it captures good quality images. The power supply of a Christian comes through prayer; and God says, if you are low on prayer, you will be low on power, and you won’t turn out a good image. If you are not connected to God through prayers on a regular basis, you will become a low quality image that belittles God’s agenda for your destiny. Tune up the fire of prayer. Pray wherever you are; pray even when you don’t feel like praying; pray even when it is not convenient; pray ceaselessly. Pray in the morning, noon time, evening, and midnight hour. Pray until something happens; pray even if nothing is happening. Sometimes, you may not know the best things to say when you are praying, but the Spirit of God knows best what to say; and if you pray more and more in the Spirit (in tongues), you will get more and more answers, and most importantly, you will remain charged and recharged at all times. Just like a dead phone battery will stop you from receiving calls and messages on your phone, a low or zero spiritual power level occasioned by prayerlessness will stop you from receiving what God has in store for you. If you are low on power, you cannot effectively connect to God and gain access into heavenly assets. Change the gear of your prayers; pray more and more, and you will become more and more of who God wants you to be. James 5 vs. 16 assures: “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Pray With Me: Lord, I will pray more and more; increase the passion of prayer in me, in Jesus’ name! Have A Blessed Thursday
