You Shall Finish Greater![Wednesday, December 4, 2013] “The Spirit says, I beckon you to the finish line. For your finish to this year is destined to be far greater than when you began. So press into it now and know that because I am with you, you shall finish in victory!” Prophetic Scripture: Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof… (Ecclesiastes 7:8). Every runner who competes in a race comes prepared and ready. Before they ever get to the track, they get themselves psyched up and ready for the big event. Everyone gathers and excitement is in the air as the runners all line up on the track and shoot off the starting block. Once the race begins, the runners must keep pressing hard for the finish line because they each want to see the result they hoped for at the beginning. However, for the winner that finish-line experience suddenly becomes far greater than the adrenaline experienced at the beginning of the race. He realizes that his determined press toward the finish was well worth it. This picture depicts many people’s calendar year. We begin the race with excitement, but as the year progresses we wonder how we will finish. Like a winner, we need to keep seeing the finish line we pictured for ourselves at the beginning of the year. We can’t give up now. There is still a finish-line experience ahead of us that is far greater than our beginning. Sure, we might be a little out of breath right now as the year draws to a close, but we need to keep pressing to the end. The Spirit of God is there helping you finish this year in victory, so know that it shall be far greater than how you began! Prayer: Father, I know that You are anointing me to finish my race and destiny for this year. Help me get a refreshed view of the glorious finish you have in store for me, and I know that I shall finish it with victory! In Jesus’ Name, amen.
