You all did such an amazing job!!! It couldnt of went any better concidering in the end, we were missing some of our key peeps!!! As we stood on the corner awaiting Senator Flake to leave the facility in his truck, to our surprise...he stopped!!! He got out and walked straight up to me...omg!!! He shook my hand and basically said, I just wanted to stop and thank you all for being out here and taking this tragedy and turning into a positive by encouraging the adoptions of animals. He said its great your using Facebook groups to draw attention to your cause and the animals. My statement to him was...hes in a position to help create new laws and stop this from happening. I also pointed out, that he needed to realize his son may not of been put in this position if, these laws already existed. However, he would not comment or address any questions in regards to his son or the events that took place, with us or news crews. For such a small crowd, we sure made a BIG ROAR!!! Im so proud of our Rally Team and our Gilbert23 supporters!!! Veronica and Lynda did such a wonderful job speaking on behalf of the Gilbert23! They really got our message out beautifully! I would also, like to give a special shout out to our Admins ~ Joan Michelle, Val, Pam, Amy, Jodi and our favorite dog... Trevor! Im not sure any of this would be possible had these few ladies not created this Memorial and brought on this awareness. By creating this page in honor of the Gilbert23, they not only brought on the awareness, but they ultimately, put a stop to Green Acres taking in any more dogs to face this kind of abuse and torture. I think I can speak on behalf of our community...we thank you all for making a difference
