As long as you want more Ill be happy to write more! So leave a like if you like it, comment if you want more or if you have any feed back! ~Raven~~ Hey, In case you didnt read my last entry in this god damned memory log, I’m Maggie, Maggie Renae Johnson. and i’m a ‘Troubled child’. Chiron, the centaur (or as I liked to call him behind his back, Horse man guy), and a few others, argue that everyone at camp half blood were labeled the same. Despite the fact that everyone at camp was troubled, they knew I was different from them. Especially when I first came to camp, Everywhere I went fights would start things went wrong, I was banned from the forges and craft areas, and the Demeter cabin kept me away from their gardens, everyone thought at first I was just a really unlucky child of Hermes. I’d take being an unlucky child of Hermes, at least people wouldnt cower away from me. But they soon found out that my dad was the mortal, and thats when they started counting down the nights until I would be claimed. I hated the night I was claimed. People had started to be nicer to me a few weeks into camp, though no one knew whose child I was. I was only twelve, and most Demigods were claimed when they turned thirteen. So of course on the night I turned thirteen everyone gathered around in the amphitheater, I felt uncomfortable with all their eyes glued to just above my head, waiting for the sign of who my godly parent.would be. They had already narrowed it down to Nemesis, or some other minor god. They werent wrong. The sun had long set and campers waited patiently. the magic fire flickering an intense shade of blue. By now the moon was fully above us casting an eerie glow. Chiron was just telling people that I would probably be claimed tomorrow and everyone should head to sleep. Just as everyone was starting to stand there was a collective gasp above my head was a symbol I didnt recognize, and two snakes coiling around the symbol. “Di Immortales” Chiron said under his breath. He stomped his hoof like a death sentence, “Hail Maggie, Daughter of Eris, Creator of Discord and Chaos.” The amphitheater filled with chatter, I only picked up bits and pieces, “She’s the only one…” “Where will she stay we have no cabin for Eris... “ “Hermes doesnt want a child of Chaos.” “Isnt Eris’ Roman form Bellona? Reyna is a daughter of Bellona…” Suddenly the fire dimmed harshly and turned an eerie shade of purple, the glow of the moon was also gone, I felt my heart rate increase as I sensed the crowd panic. After about ten seconds the fire grew and the purple light illuminated a figure, All the campers bowed and a few of them looked at her in disbelief. She wore a long flowy black dress, her torso was wrapped with many ribbons and ropes, attached to the ropes were charms, pouches and viles, her long dark hair cascaded down her back and her dark eyes were full of wisdom, mystery and well…. Darkness. An older camper stepped forward. “Welcome Mo-I mean, lady Hecate, what is the reason of this unexpected visit?” The goddess turned and looked at me. “Why I’m here on a favor of Eris, to give her child my blessing, that she may remain in the cabin of my name, She has quite the fate ahead of her. She also has an ancient magic that dwells deep within her.” I felt uncomfortable, She spoke to me with a hint of pride and knowledge of my future. I looked at her, “um, Lady Hecate…. what exactly does this mean?” The goddess looked at everyone and then held her stare on chiron. “It means, you will be accepted into my cabin, and learn magic like my children, Is that understood?” Chiron nodded, the campers looked a bit mystified. The goddess then turned to me. “Come here, child.” I approached her with confidence. “Yes m’lady?” I said with a small bow. She removed one of the ribbons of her dress, she mumbled an incantation taking my hands and put the Ribbon in it. Only it wasnt light like ribbon, it was heavier it felt like the weight of a baseball, when I looked down at my hands the ribbon was gone and I was holding a dagger, but not just any dagger, the black Ivory dagger with the torch etched into the blade, The one that was taken away from me after I plunged it into Uncle Jack’s arm. I looked at Hecate in disbelief. “how?” She smiled and ran brushed my cheek with her hand. “It’s your dagger sweetheart, A gift from your mother, I couldnt let the mortals keep it from you forever.” I looked at her with gratitude, “Thank you…. Thank you very much!” “You are welcome child. Train with all your heart, no matter what, Your fate depends on it.” I was about to ask what she meant but she was gone. Chiron dismissed everyone to their cabins. As everyone walked passed me they would glare, some of them scowled, “Claimed by a witch.” “You’ll never belong now.” “don’t ever come near me or my siblings,” I looked down, taking every last harsh word, If I thought living with my Uncle Jack who resented me was bad this was going to be a million times worse. Just about everyone hated me, I didnt know what to do, I fought back the urge to cry. convincing myself things would be better. The guy from earlier who addressed Hecate First, walked up to me. “Hey, I’m Luca, Son of Hecate. I guess Mom sort of adopted you.” he seemed to notice how upset I was. “Hey, dont listen to them, I think it’ll be nice to have a Cabin mate. c’mon.” Luca lead my to a charcoal gray building, it was solid and looked completely indestructible, No way in and no way out. torches were lit all around the cabin with purple flames. “Magic proof,” Luca explained. “We train in the cabin so we don’t harm anyone with magic.” I nodded but stared at the building. “how do we get inside?” He took my hand and placed it on the wall. “Think of a door” he whispered in my ear. I imagined a door made out of thick dark wood with metal vines looping around the door frame. the torches around the building turned green and the door I had just imagined appeared. Luca looked surprised. “y-you summoned a door on your first try? It took me days to summon even the simplest of doors!” I blushed. I was about to say something when someone called my name. I looked and there were a group of campers, They surged forward, Luca tried to get in between me and them but they pushed him aside. Two of them held me up against the wall the others made a ring around blocking Luca out. “Creatures like you arent fit to be here, You’re no demigod, You’re a monster that belongs in tartarus.” Said one of the campers. They each held up a cup of something. they cheered and dumped it over my head. The pain was indescribable, but i’ll do my best. It stung and felt like my flesh was melting off, It burned so bad, I screamed in agony and the campers ran off laughing. Luca rushed to my side. He didnt say anything he quickly brought me in the cabin. If I hadnt been in so much pain I would have admired the fact that the inside of the cabin was huge! almost like a whole other world, It was so big that we had to walk through an enchanted garden, until we came to another set of doors which lead to a cozy room with a thought out whimsical design. It looked like something pulled directly out of an Ikea magazine. Luca set me down on the bed. The black satin sheets were a nice soothing cold against my feverish skin. Luca started made me drink some nectar and then mumbled an incantation. The searing pain slowly subsided, He looked exhausted from the incantation. “Thank you….” I said, He nodded. “What was that stuff?” he frowned. “New invention, created by Mark, from the Athena cabin, and Yours truly, we call it holy water, but it’s a type of water with microscopic celestial bronze needles. The needles create tiny cuts in your skin and with magic the water reacts to your bodily fluids and it instantly turns to acid. Thus the intense burning sensations…. I’m sorry this happened to you.” He looked at me. “you should rest. it’s late.” I nodded and he walked out of the room. He walked out and I laid in my bed. And as per usual, I didn’t sleep, rather, I visited another world...
