You are invited to our next free monthly workshop on law school or med school application. Everything you wanted to know about the extracurricular activities needed to turn your compliant application into a stellar one in a unique free workshop! Are you a student interested in applying to law school or med school? Are you an IMG working toward residency in Canada or USA? Have you applied to med school or law school or residency this past application round and was not successful? Do you keep wondering whether your CV and activities were strong enough? If you answered yes to any of these come to our next workshop and take the next step toward a winning next application! You will learn from admission experts about the 12 different activity categories that make up a winning application, about the requirements in their impact, duration, and personal involvement, about using social media to boost their impact, how to use your activities to impress the selection committees and shine during the interview. Are you the type of student who did a lot of activities only to have the 48 activities slots filled? Learn how to select meaningful activities that build up onto your passions and hobbies and allow you to progressively reach the required impact. Are you the type of student who took a CPR course and never used it? or had 40 one- time activities on your CV? Lear how to overcome these pittfalls and build a high quality, successful CV! You will have the opportunity to hear what successful students had on their CV when they applied as well as learn about the ideal CV software that can check your application versus a pool of successful applicants. You will hear brief introductions from a dean and professors from two professional schools: Adelaide Law School and Debrecen Medical School. We will end the workshop with a panel of students; Nusrat Ali who will present a trendy and successful transition from medical to law school, Tina Binesh and her amazing global medical experience, and Karen Bai and her great conference organization, cardiac surgeon shadowing, and diseases awareness activities. At the end of the workshop one lucky member in the audience (either a prospective applicant or an unsuccessful one in the 2013-2014 competition) will have a detailed analysis of his/her CV done.
