You are not here to be absorbed BY your culture. You are here to TRANSFORM it! God picks the time and place in which you live. He has chosen this time and place for YOU right now. Why? Sometimes you can get distracted and just think you are here for your career or the next step and lose sight of the eternal plan. We are apart of something BIG. We are NOT a product of time. We are a product of ETERNITY. God has plucked us OUT of eternity. He has positioned us IN time and Hes given us gifts and talents for the purpose of SERVING our generation. This is not the digital age, the technological age, or the information age. THIS IS THE CHURCH AGE. So we need to be asking ourselves, What am I responsible for between the two advents of Christ, between when he left and when He returns? Perhaps the reason you never fit in is because you TRULY ARE born to stand out. Daniel was not placed in the courts of the King to morph into his environment. The purpose of the Babylonian captivity was to conform them. Daniel came and because He refused to be like all the others, He was chosen to REFORM and TRANSFORM. When people cant seem to get you to fit the agenda they think is best for you, remind yourself you are not here to conform to the worlds way of doing things. You are passing through on an ASSIGNMENT given by God in which you MUST NOT conform to the behaviors of those around you, but be of a different mind, a RENEWED MIND. In doing so, it places you in a position, like Daniel, to know the good, perfect, and pleasing will of God. Keep in mind. Daniels ability to stay true to who God had ordained him to be when everyone else was going with the flow not only affected Daniel. It caused a king to open his doors to Daniel and Daniel was given the divine wisdom to advise the heart of a King. However, as Jack Roach says, You cant have an answer to the problem until you first solve the problems in you. You cant give someone else something you dont own.
