You are nothing to me. You were never there for me whenever I needed you. You always let me down and never once looked my way to see that I was okay. You never patted me on the shoulder for the good that I have done in my life. All you ever did was look down on me because I wasnt just like you. But you know what? I didnt, and dont want to be just like you! I actually dont want to be anything like you! I may not be perfect, but no one is! And you are far from perfect. But you know what? I am strong. I dont need you. I never have, and I never will. I have families that love me for who I am. Families that have made me strong, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Families that have shown me what love really is. Families that have taken me in under their wings and not been afraid to show me what the difference between right and wrong. Families that have taught me that real family isnt always by blood, but its who cares and loves you. And that wasnt you. You always made me think that a relationship without you would make me nothing in this world. But you know what? You were wrong. You were really, really wrong. I am something. I am a strong and smart young lady. But I didnt learn these things because of you. I learnt these things because of them! Because they actually know what love is! But what did I learn most importantly? That I do not need you. I didnt in the past, I dont now, and I wont in the future. I have my family, and youre not, and never will be a part of that.
