You are right, dumping water on your head wont change anything but keeping the ice bucket challenges in the spotlight causes people to google ALS and helps a debilitating disease with no cure and no funding be recognized. Millions of people run for CANCER every year and NO ONE complains about the millions of status updates. This is just a fun stunt to get the word out there. If a bunch of people just started posting hey donate to ALS no one would pay attention. So, just scroll past and in a few weeks it will be over - however, the 30,000 Americans who cant get funding because it is not an important enough disease will suffer with ALS will still be suffering long after the fad is over. I have been nominated twice in the last three days and although you only have 24 hours to do the challenge its been raining in Korea. As soon as it lets up ill post my video.
