You asked for my opinion and here it is. Im the daughter of an ex-political prisoner; therefore, yes I know the unjustified injustice against the Cubans from its own people in the government, and also many Cubans that at the time when Fidel got power had nothing to lose. Many of those people who had nothing to lose turn against the wealthy, and were appointed many positions in the government. It was a communist system that didnt work for no one not the wealthy nor the poor; however, it sure worked very well for the Castro family I wouldnt even say it worked for the people closed to them cause as you might of heard in stories true or not many were eliminated. Now, regarding the changes its true many Cuban families are still suffering the lost of their love ones, due to the injustice of the Cuban government, but how else can we come to terms, and have them account for the suffering. if in some way or form there is more open communication they can be accounted for the suffering. I just truly believe we have to outsmart the government, and have them close enough, for at least there are ways to negotiate the time lost, and have them pay one way or another for their wrong doing. Remember there are many companies that lost their property, and business to the the Cuban Government. Tell me if there is any other way to regain all that!! Has anything else worked since Fibel got into power!!! That is common sense, is could be the beginning of many positive changes. At this point have a lot more to appreciate to the American Government, and feel more American, I would be ungrateful if I said otherwise. I believe every Cuban here should be very grateful, and see how the changes can unfold new possibilities. Furthermore, all I can say if I ever have the opportunity to talk to the Cuban Government is to explain how can it be that since 1959, they couldnt do something positive for their people except create suffering. They should use what they stole from its people to pay back the suffering, although, a life cant be replaced with anything in the world. But , only changes can make it better for new generations!!!
