You can now see “The Soliloquy,” a Gideon Festival award-winning short film by Josh Murray online! The film transports the temptations of power out of the misty Scottish highlands and into the sunny, swampy summer of Washington politics. This psychological thriller takes the viewer into the mind of a modern Macbeth (Murray) to ask what happens when greed, envy, fear and lust for power gnaw on the human will. The words of Macbeth’s famous internal debate come to life with towering impressionistic imagery set against the vistas of life in the nation’s capital. Vivid cinematography and score complete the haunting effect. Will Wallace (The Tree of Life) called it: Wonderful...a perfect recipe.
