You cant forget the Holocaust how do you expect Gazans to forgive the occupation? However a one state solution living peacefully side by side is my dream for Palestine with Israel dismantled. If anyone can forgive, although they have every single reason not to but this is my hope for peace, it is the Palestinians because the Palestinians are the most beautiful, patient, generous, people in the world. They will never forget but maybe they can forgive the evil of their oppressors, the evil regime. As Nelson Mandela said, as I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didnt leave my bitterness and hatred behind, Id still be in prison. Courageous people do not fear forgiving for the sake of peace. In order for peace to be reached Israel (and if not willingly then under international pressure) needs to lift the blockade. First end the blockade, end apartheid, resistance will then stop and peace will come next. The world must bring Israel to its knees by boycott, divestment and sanctions.
