You guys know how hard I am on my bikes. I dont have a car. I ride all year. I put, on average, about 15,000/year on my bikes. I use them in ways they were never intended to be used. Heck, my KLX250sf already has almost 42,000 miles on it. Major shoutout and props to Kustom Kraft. The first big bore kit (different company) that I tried on my KLX only lasted 1,500 miles... and I went through 2 pistons in that time! The Kustom Kraft 330 kit has lasted over 13,000 miles on my KLX so far. It is still pulling strong after endless commuting. It is still pulling strong after endless, pathetic wheelie practice (also props to EBC for the heavy duty clutch in it, there ;) ). It is even pulling strong after multiple track days at Heartland Park, a very wide open course better suited to 600cc and 1000cc sportbikes with top speeds that my little KLX cant even spell. It is even still pulling strong after the horrific abuse of this past winter in particular. After my ER-6n was rudely smashed by a car, I had to take the KLX as my daily commuter, even though the ride was all highway. Thats 70 miles a day, 5 days a week, commuting near redline on the Interstate in temperatures near 0F (-17C), with a massive, unknown hole in my airbox (*after* the air filter!) and a big, unknown crack in my header pipe. Come spring, there was condensation in my cylinder that even rusted out my spark plug. Rings are still good. Compression still good. Oil change, valve cover gasket change, check the valves (still in spec!), replace the header pipe, fix the airbox, and the bike still runs like a freakin champ. Pulls strong. No oil burning. No hot running. Decent gas mileage. Brraaap! Thanks, Kustom Kraft! Youve made my ho hum KLX250sf into a grin-inducing and surprisingly-bulletproof KLX330sm! I used to hate how unreliable this bike was. I used to be bored (ha! See what I did there?) with how slow it was. Now its peppy and just. Wont. Die. If you are thinking about boring your motorcycle, see if these guys make a kit for your bike. Seriously. They may seem a bit pricey, but you wont be blowing through pistons or sleeves, like I was on the less expensive brands. And, no, Im not sponsored by them. Not yet, anyway. ;) *cough* Link: //kustom-kraft/
