Despite the fact that the Pentagon has no evidence that any American troops were killed while trying to free him. And so, calls for impeachment. And again, because you Republicants either have no brains, no memory or - as I’ve said many times - you simply lack the gene that produces shame and embarrassment, let me remind you of a few things. When PFC Jessica Lynch was captured in Iraq in 2003, the Bush administration hailed her as a brave hero who valiantly defended herself against her attackers and courageously fought back despite suffering grievous injuries. Her M16 rifle jammed, and she was knocked unconscious when her vehicle crashed. When asked about her heroine status, she stated That wasnt me. Im not about to take credit for something I didnt do... Im just a survivor.” When former NFL star turned Army Ranger Pat Tillman was shot and killed in Afghanistan in 2004, the Bush administration lauded his bravery for daringly taking on heavy fire and defending his platoon before being ambushed by enemy forces. Turns out it was all a lie. A subsequent Congressional investigation found that Tillman was actually killed as result of a friendly fire incident; and that the Department of Defense delayed the disclosure for weeks out of a desire to protect the image of the US Armed Forces. My Republican friends, why is it so hard for you to get the facts straight? Isn’t the yoke of hypocrisy you wear around your necks finally weighing you down?
