You have played with them on your X Box, read about them in novels, seen them on movies and even heard them babble on podcasts that only their cousins listen to. Now you can see the Heroes, villains, creators and fanboys of Halo on a new battlefield…. Well it’s a grass field.. that like many maps in Halo actually have grass.. but it’s not like that…. IT’S A BASEBALL FIELD! The Halo universe (Well a selected part of it.. which included obscure figures from nooks and crannies) will take the fight to the diamond in the Halo Baseball League! 8 teams will take part playing 42 games each in a regular season with the top 4 teams making the playoffs to get a Champion! The teams are as follows: (Alphabetic Order) Covenant Great Journey Forerunner Baseball Club Halo Mega Bloks Blokheads ODST Helljumpers ONI Spooks Postgame Carnage Report Bastards Spartan Asskickers UNSC Sox The new commissioner, Gravemind, was all smiles (well were assuming he was smiling, it’s tough to tell he is a big blob really) at the press conference in Montreal and telepathically said to the reporter(s) assembled. “"There is much talk, and I have listened, through rock and metal and time. Now I shall talk, and you shall listen. Do not shoot, but listen! Let me lead you safely... to our foe. Only you can halt... what he has set in motion" Teams will have rosters of 19 players, 11 position and 8 pitchers. Of the 144 roster positions, 81 are currently filled, with another 30-40 expected filled in the next few days. For the remaining positions, an open try out will be held. Its expected on certain teams will have open positions, as the Forerunner, Spartan, Covie and ODST clubs are expected to have full rosters prior to the tryout. The season is expected to begin in September.
