You just dont know how important this moment, this day, this time in my life mean to me. People say, We are all living on borrowed time; Time waits for no man; We stand on our destiny; We must make our moments golden. Having set my eyes on this new day for the first time lets me know I have a God that hears even the soft whispers of my prayers. In the last few years, I have had many of my relatives (uncles, aunts, cousins), and oh yes, my closest friends, my acquaintances say their last good-byes to the world we know. The most hurting and mind-blowing crisis has been the un-expectable, un-predictictable news to hear the bell tow for several of my high-school classmates during the course of a year. Yes, sad, but true, I became a little fearful of hearing again the news of someone else dying. Realizing Im getting older - maybe at times not feeling my best - or even whether I would next year be around to see my only daughter get her college degree as she proudly walks down the aisles, spoiling my grand children when that time comes, or even finishing certain goals Ive wanted to meet, sometimes brought tears to my eyes. This was beginning to seriously crowd my thoughts! I knew then I had to get a hold of my life so that doubt and fear did not alter my future. Thus, I had to come to my senses, and catch on by FAITH - BELIEVE and KNOW that with God I am blessed and highly favored. I am saved, Gods heir, and profess living according to Gods Word to one day walk through the pearly gates enjoying Gods love. I knew then I could make it another day. I BELIEVE that God has truly been guiding all my life and saw fit to give me the Threescores + 10 years on this day, December 15, 2014. I am destined to be the very best for Him and continue to live on and work until my day is done. So, this is why you hear me singing, why I smile, I laugh, I jump for joy, and why I keep telling people, Im so happy, its my birthday!
