You know, I dont need for anyone to tell me how to raise my twins. Ive raised them. Theyre 21 now and I get so many compliments from people all of the time about what a fine job I did of raising them. Im talking about from parents, friends, people that know my sons comment on how wonderful they are, and that theyre sweet, kind, generous, caring, loving, good-hearted, genuine, honest, loyal, reliable, dependable, and the list goes on and on. I do feel that Ive raised 2 great young men. Even though theyre 21, I still have their best interest at heart, as any parent would. They still live at home and under my roof, so there are some small rules and guidelines that they must follow, but believe me, its no big deal and nothing major. I really dont dictate their every move and I try to let them be free 21 yr old young men. They work 2 jobs and go to college and Im just as proud as I can be of them. Im here for them if they have a problem or need advice. Sometimes, I give advice when they dont ask for it and thats just me trying to lead them down the right path. I know that they must learn on their own and make mistakes along the way and that is how we learn, but, as a parent though, if I see that theyre being used or taken advantage of or walked on like a doormat, whatever youd like to call it, I refuse to stand by and watch it happen. So, therefore; I will step in and say something and if that offends someone, then Im really sorry. love them so much and it hurts me when someone takes advantage of their good heart and their good nature. To me, in my opinion, theres nothing wrong with loving and caring for your children, no matter what age they are. It doesnt mean that youre trying to run their life, by no means. It just means that youre looking out for them.
