You know Ive been thinking about Guardians of the Galaxy and the response it seems to be getting. I know some people think its the best movie in the world and a lot of people that are disappointed with it in not living up to their expectations which is completely understandable. I myself (watch my review) found it to be a fun time at the cinema and while I thought it was good, I doubt itll appear on my Top Ten of 2014 list. And you know what, thats not a big deal. It doesnt HAVE to be the best or worst movie ever, sometimes it can just be a movie you really enjoyed whilst acknowledging that it has problems and there are better movies out there. I can see already that the love will eventually turn to hate down the road (right now its becoming cool to suddenly jump on a bandwagon and hate The Avengers), but Guardians really shouldnt be getting shit for not being this perfect game-changing film. I repeat; sometimes there are just fun movies. And thats ok.
