You know... When you are incredibly passionate about what you do and invest so much time, energy and effort into being the best you possibly can be for the business and brand you represent, and for the customer relationships you develop, it really can be recognition, acknowledgment and award for all your hard work that far surpasses, and means so much more to you, than drivers such as money, bonuses and personal benefits. To this point, awards and celebrations of success are such a critical component - while they may mean little to anyone not involved in where your passion lies, within the group or community it pertains to it, it means a phenomenal amount - and where the sheer magnitude of the nature of the award is truly recognised. I couldnt be more proud of Luke Saunders and his team than I am right now. Taking out the coveted BRANCH OF THE YEAR award for all of SA is an outstanding achievement and collectively they have have performed to the highest standard. However, on a personal note, I do want to acknowledge a man who mirrors the same passion for Retail Banking within ANZ as I do. Ive shared and witnessed the journey Luke has travelled as his career has progressed, from when he commenced with the bank as a personal banker and developed into an incredible people leader with an outstanding commitment to the highest level of customer service and focus. Knowing the ins and outs of his back story only further enhances how proud I am of this achievement - youve worked so incredibly hard, given it your all, continued to impress time and time again and you deserve all the accolades youve received tonight. Similarly, the team Ive worked with from when I started with ANZ in Feb 2008 up until three months ago when I relocated to Sydney, taking out District Of The Year - thats twice now in my fours years as Adelaide Norths SQM. You are the most brilliant collective of people that I could ever hope to work with; your continued commitment to being the best you can be is inspiring and weve been so fortunate to have such a tremendous leader in Frank. If this is what Cloud 9 feels like, I dont want ever want to come down Congratulations to you all - youve made the past 4 years in particular some of the best of my life and I could not be any more proud of each of you if I tried
