You know a day hardly passes, before i update my status, i guess i want to thank God for giving me this knowledge. Now today i want to advise my Facebook friends to plant finger millet. Yes i know, all of you are thinking that Maize should be the staple food of Kenya. Well finger millet is also as nutritious if not better than maize. It grows after 120 days. Well there is even a better variety called Maseno 60 developed by the researchers from Maseno, that flowers after 60 days and matures after 80 days. The thing i am advising my Facebook friends, is that increase your acreage(in simple English increase the number of acres of land you have and plant this type of crop). Well the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Services (Kephis) take about two years testing a crop line, before they introduce a crop variety, but i bet the Maseno 60 will sell really fast to both established farmers and those aspiring to be. - And the fourth river was called Euphrates- The book of Genesis.
