You know how you see pictures comparing the yolk of a store bought, factory farmed egg to the yolk of a free range egg and the free range egg is shown to be as orange as a pumpkin and the store bought egg is pale yellow and basically very lame looking? Well. The eggs that my hens lay look like store bought eggs! And I dont understand why! My chickens have free range of 4 acres and they are only penned/cooped at night for safety from predators. They basically have the perfect life! So why arent their eggs orange like so many facebook memes tell me they should be?! lol
