You know, if you took two different people and gave them identical lives, chances are one would be happy and one would not. If you asked the happy person why they were happy, they’d be able to rattle off a list of reasons. But if you asked the unhappy one for reasons why they were unhappy, the list could easily be the same. The difference? How we view our lives. Chances are, you have things in your life that many view as worth complaining about, but that’s often where the greatest blessings are hidden! Don’t like your job? Millions would love to have it and the ability to buy food and live in a home is a wonderful byproduct! Don’t like traffic? Being able to sing along with a song on the radio is a lovely way to slow down a bit and enjoy yourself before heading into your day. Spouse sleeping late while you are up working on the house bright and early? How wonderful to have them home with you and how nice that they can get some extra rest! Grumpy person you have to deal with at work? Im always grateful for people like that because they help remind me to be positive and cheerful towards others - I would not be a positive person if not for all of the wonderful examples of negative folks! Every time you find yourself inwardly grumbling this week, stop and see if you can’t find the blessing hiding inside whatever it is you are complaining about. Blessings are hiding everywhere in plain view. Seek them out :) Good Morning!
