You know its funny how after the murders of Michael Brown, John Crawford, Eric Garner and Tamir Rice the police and authorities keep talking about how we all need to heal and move past this and come together as a community but if anyone suggests that police be held to a higher standard of accountability and scrutiny (as opposed to you know, actually shooting and killing an unarmed person) the level of animosity and vitriol is unstoppable. I am sorry that a lot of police feel butt-hurt that DeBlasio and nearly every other parent of a black child have to give them the talk about how its dangerous to be a black person in this country and how they will often be treated differently by many and how interactions with police are especially dangerous. If it wasnt the truth, there wouldnt be anything to be upset about. #ChangeYourselfChangeTheWorld Also, the New York Post is full of shit. Only 2500 police attended the service today and only a couple hundred turned their backs on the mayor. If you keep building a narrative of a great divide, the worse you are making it as people wake up to the realities and refuse to be marginalized and manipulated further. Thats why there will be protests every day in perpetuity until the system changes or becomes irrelevant,
