You know, its great that there are all these articles coming out about the effects of trauma on memory. Its something that is really misunderstood and needs to be talked about. That being said, I think the focus on trauma and memory is massively missing the point. You wanna know why some of us have conflicting reports? Because men lie to us. And they gaslight us. And they actively take steps to make sure we wont be believed. Can we talk about that? We need critically think about why the media is focusing on the picking over brains of rape victims and not on the actions of men. Its not because they care about us. I feel like this shit is just going to be used to reinterate how complicated and murky rape is. I just dont trust it.
