It seems there are some misconceptions about the Lonoke Co. Puppy - TopicsExpress

It seems there are some misconceptions about the Lonoke Co. Puppy Mill Dogs. I would like to clarify some things. HSPC has been caring for these 150+ dogs for 2 years now and has over $500,000 invested in their care. Volunteers and staff care for these animals daily and love them. HSPC does not think it is in the best interest of the dogs to be returned to Sandra Nance. The criminal trial between Nance and Lonoke Co. concluded in May 2014. The AR Supreme Court lacked jurisdiction to rule in the matter of the custody of the dogs. So the dogs are left in limbo. HSPC has been holding the dogs as evidence for the Court during the criminal trial. HSPC has no power or authority to hold or release the dogs. The Lonoke Co. Circuit Court will make the decision for custody of the dogs. HSPC is at the mercy of the Court and must abide by the Courts decision. Again, I state that HSPC does not believe it is in the best interest of the dogs to be returned to Sandra Nance. Andrea Underwood, HSPC Board of Directors President
