You know one of the sad truths about the game that Ive often have to explain to viewers on stream is how most of the early league champions are poorly designed. Here is a few things you have to keep in mind when considering this. - Most champions are useful in some way - Most older champions can only be balanced via numbers - Most older champions have overloaded kits or painfully simple kits - A handful of older champions have one very simple ability that is grossly gamebreaking and hinders balance (think Tryndamere) - A few older champions have no synergy within their own kit When players ask me What do I think of jungle Gangplank? or something like that for an old champion I always tell them that the champion can never be allowed to be good otherwise theyd break the game. Certain champions in this game just cannot be buffed or else theyll break the game because their kits are so bad the only plausible way of buffing them (without a rework) is to make some part of their kit have stupid numbers.
