You know, some of us take things literally. And we think in literal terms. And maybe we are a bit slow on the up-take, or simple minded or dont read verbal and physical cues very well. So when you say Wait, and let me get back to you on that THAT is exactly what we are going to do. And we will sit outside of your door every day waiting for you to Get back to us about whatever. When you say Well see.... Yeah, we will. And we will see about sitting around waiting for you to make up your mind. Sure, long after the fact we might realize or make the connection that when someone says Wait and Ill get back to you on that that youre blowing us off. And boy dont we feel silly and stupid and not very hep to your wise ways. But some of us, even for as many times as weve been around the block, are still naivey trusting people, and we allow each and every different person in opur lives to have this same certain amount of trust....rather then growing that cold calloused paranoid weary distrust that MOST (sane? realistic?) animals would develop as self-preservation. And when THAT trust gets violated, yes it hurts and pisses us off. And we bite back. So, when you treat some of us with that squirmy-wormy passive/aggressive social blackmail and limp as jelly for plausible deniability bullshit just to keep us dancing around at YOUR whim and command, you can pretty much expect the people you play like puppets or dangle carrots in front of to go for your jugular vein sooner or later. We might be slow, not very bright, and miss a lot of social clues......but so are alligators.
