You know, sometimes you just need a man around the house to be handy. If he is not handy, throw him out!!! Since we are a household of ladies, me and the two cats, we have to manage on our own. I wanted to put these stretcher bars together so that I might mount my canvas. I went looking for my big hammer, the one my grandfather and my dad both used, and I inherited with the house. The last time I remember seeing it, it was on the coffee table in the family room. (Dont ask why--it just was!) So, I went to get it. Nope, not there. Since I am the only creature in the house with an opposable thumb, I knew the cats didnt take it. So, going on the theory it will turn uo eventually, and I will laugh about where I find it, I went on to the next best thing..... a screwdriver with magnetic heads that enterchange. I figured I could hold it by the metalic end and use the big handle as the head of the hammer. I wont tell you how long it took me to do, but I finally got it accomplished. Score one for the Ladies Team, playing with carpal tunnel. Now on to mount the canvas. And then I am off to the races with my self imposed deadline of Thanksgiving. Wish me luck.
