You know, the conventional thinking is that a President cant do much about gas prices, but I think its a little different this time. Since we are now producing more U.S. oil than ever, it is listed as one of the main reasons for the dropping prices. The supply is at a high now that the U.S. is contributing so much oil into the global market which is driving prices down. I guess you can contribute that to Obamas policy on the U.S. producing so much of its own oil. We are now less dependent on foreign oil than ever before. From Fortune: A slump in the oil market is driving the lower fuel prices. Increased supply, particularly by U.S. producers, has driven down oil prices by nearly half over the past six months. On Friday, U.S. crude fell below $55 a barrel.
