You know the media is pretty worthless when it makes a huge mountain out of the mole-hill aka Oprah and the $38,000 hand-bag, etc. etc. You know the media is more like a gossip magazine when it can spend more time discussing some celebrity´s detox program than it can give us the status on a charitable project or guide us to a community who is implementing an eco-friendly project to benefit its residents. You know the media gets away with talking down to the majority of us; why the media does this is puzzling to me, and I am very curious if this is what their advertisers want or if it´s just plain laziness on getting some real journalists out and about finding the stories - no doubt the cost of providing real information is a factor, but it sure is insulting and very tiring listening to newscasts that try to make a racist issue out of an expensive purse!!! An expensive purse; a silk purse -- and then there is that sow´s ear....oh well, TV is off for the day; now it´s time to shut down the computer. :-)
