You know those memes that go around saying That person you just pushed is abused at home. Or That homeless old man you told to get a job is a veteran. Or That baby robin you shot with a Beebe gun knew the cure for cancer. I dont like those, for reasons other than an indirect guilt trip. How about instead of trying to say that we shouldnt treat people badly because they might be struggling with some inner demons or crying on the inside, why dont we all agree to not be dicks to people on the premise that theyre a freaking person. I dont know about you, but I was taught to be nice to people because thats what you should do, not just because of the off chance that they might be having a personal struggle at the time.
