You know what I love? Those moments when you connect with a stranger unexpectedly, and you KNOW your chance encounter was for a reason. Just spoke with a woman who was a cashier in the checkout lane who was in noticable discomfort. When I asked if she was okay, the poor thing just burst into tears. She explained she had been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and that she was so scared. Knowing I couldnt legally give her medical advice, I offered a hug and a listening ear. For about five minutes she discussed her fears and I spoke only as the daughter of a breast cancer survivor. I know at the end of our talk, her grief had been only mildly alleviated, but for a few simple minutes, I think she actually felt better about getting it all out, even if it was to someone she didnt even know. Really hoping this person gets a few more moments of peace today, but Im so in awe of the beauty that life throws you unexpectedly. What an insanely captivating journey we have sometimes. Going to be hugging the wee one a little tighter tonight. Love you all. Xoxo
