A large number of them face harassment/violence at the hands of the strangers, family members and other known to them. Such abuse may take place at homes and work places. The violence may be in the form of psychological abuse as well as physical abuse. Victims in most cases cannot take recourse to the criminal justice system for a variety of reasons including the fear of social stigma and lack of knowledge about the institutions that could come to their rescue. In Order to provide necessary assistance to such victims, Women Cell located is three zone (1) NIT Zone in ACP NIT office, NH5 Faridabad (2) Ballabgarh zone ACP B. Garh office Panchyat Bhawan B. Garh (3) Women Cell Central zone in Mini Secretariat, Fifth Floor Room No.507, Faridabad has been functional. The Women Cell is headed by a woman officer of the rank of an Inspector who works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Faridabad. Women Cell Any complainant can file her complaint at any Police Station or to ACsP or DCsP. Such complaints can also be submitted to offices of Jt. CP and CP, Faridabad. The complainant can also call Police Control Room at 100, 9999150000 or at Women Helpline (1091), working round the clock (24*7)
