You know what I loved about growing up? My mom wanting us to only speak Samoan when were at home! She always said, aua gei ou faalogo i se gagu pe a kou oo mai I le fale..kuu kou gagu i le aoga! And of course Dad would always disagree and say, Honey! NO! They need to learn more English! Kids..speak English at home! You dont want to end up having broken English! LOL!!! We obeyed moms rule until we moved to San Diego. Since then, we dont speak Samoan to each other unless were trying to speak in code in public...or if its me cracking a joke! LOL!
