You know what, I think this ordeal with Adrian Peterson is bringing up to light the discipline of our children. He isnt hiding and he admitted its how we was disciplined when he was a child by his moms. My parents, trust me, those whippings were harsh but made me the man that I am. I learned to show respect and know what was wrong from right. I had welts from my dads belt, does that make him inhumane? Nope, lesson learned, dont do it again. Nowadays, trust me, I see some kids/teens who show no respect for anything, definitely deserve a whipping. Anyone who is 30 and up can agree with me. Then I remember this song by Ghostface Killah. Listen to lyrics, he even talks about a switch which is what Adrian says he used on his son. Old school ways. Ask yourself this, should all our parents be arrested for whipping us? Belts, wooden spoons, hair brushes, slippers, shoes (sometimes high heels), they leave marks. We cried, learned the hard way and moved on. I saw George Lopez recently at a show and he said it best, these kids nowadays are a bunch of pussies! and everyone in the audience, who was older, applauded loudly.
